Newsletter, Facebook, and More

Hello Family and Friends,

Thank you to everyone who responded to my question about the future of this blog. I appreciate your kind feedback. I know that all of our time is precious and I am honored that you would spend some of your minutes reading my musings. One of my desires is to broaden the reach of our work with Walk In Love Uganda. There is a lot of great work going on behind the scenes right now for Walk In Love Uganda, Walk In Love International, and Walk In Love Tanzania.

Did you know that we were three separate, but united entities? We are working with a consultant to help us elevate our organization to the next level. Part of that process is working on our branding, both as individual organizations and as a unit.

If you put marketing on a strength-finder test, it would definitely rate near the bottom for both Matt and myself! We are good at doing the work on the ground, but horrible at talking about what we have done. We are attempting to improve in this area. With that in mind, we have launched the Walk In Love Uganda newsletter. This is the first in many new efforts we will be making to keep in better touch with those that support Walk In Love Uganda. You will get to see how your generosity is making an impact for vulnerable families and children in Kampala. I am super excited to share stories of the amazing families we are working with everyday.

In addition to the newsletter we have started individual Facebook and Instagram pages for Walk In Love Uganda. We are still thrilled to be a part of Walk In Love International, but are also excited to bring you more dedicated updates on social media. Would you please click on our NEW logo below to visit the Facebook page and give us a like. Liking and sharing our posts is a tangible way that you can support us for free. Every share helps to spread the news about what we are doing in Kampala.

The newsletter will be the main source of updates about the work we are doing here. This will free up my blog space to be more focused on what is happening with our family. Our desire is to grow the organization. We have some big plans and to make these happen we need a much larger reach. This means that a lot of the people reading the newsletter will not be interested in wading through news of our family. This also gives you more options. If you want to continue receiving both the blog and newsletter updates, that is awesome, we appreciate your support and encouragement. However, if you want to just receive the newsletter, please send me an email letting me know of your preference, and I will remove you from our blog list. Please do not worry about hurting my feelings! I know there are only so many things you can read. I do hope that you will want to read the Walk In Love Uganda newsletter. It will be full of pictures and updates about our work in Uganda. God is doing some amazing things here, and I want you to be uplifted by what is happening.

Speaking of email, I have a new one! It was way past time to retire the tzorphan address. We are no longer in Tanzania, and our ministry has grown to encompass so much more than orphan outreach. It is amazing the path that God has led us down over the past 8 years! I never thought we would outgrow Tzorphan, but here we are! With that in mind, I set up a personal email that can grow with me, no matter where God leads us in the future. My new address is: Kellyerdman8@gmail.com. I would love to hear from you! Thank you so much for sticking with us on this crazy journey. I am hoping that both of these moves will help to communicate better for both the personal blog and the newsletter.
