I am an ambassador for Noonday Collection, a social impact accessory company based in Austin, TX. Noonday’s primary purpose is to create dignified, sustainable jobs in vulnerable communities by providing a marketplace for handcrafted jewelry and accessories. One of our artisan groups is based in Uganda, where artisans create beautiful jewelry from handrolled paper beads. When the lockdown began, the artisans were no longer able to work assembling jewelry from their beads, but our business partners were able to “pivot” and ship paper beads in bulk to the US which were transformed into our first DIY product: Build Your Own Bracelet Kits (BYOBK)! Each kit includes enough assorted beads and elastic thread to create 6-8 bracelets depending on size, all nestled in a beautiful handmade bag. This fundraiser is a win-win-win! 1) You get a great activity or gift for the crafty kids or adults in your life. 2) 25% of all sales will be donated to Walk in Love Uganda to meet the great needs Kelly, Matt, and their team have identified, and 3) 10% of all sales will go to Noonday’s Impact Giveback Fund, providing emergency funds to artisan communities in crisis due to the pandemic and associated lockdown measures.

The breakdown: Each set of three kits is $28 plus tax and shipping. $7 from each set sold will go to Walk in Love Uganda. $2.80 will go to the Global Impact Fund.
